SEGA Mega Jet

SEGA Mega JetThe SEGA Mega Jet, a slightly portable version of Megadrive/Genesis that was designed for airplane use, is a rare and highly sought-after 16-bit Sega collectible. You can find more about it here and here, and -better yet- you can try and grab a boxed SEGA Mega Jet via eBay. Seller ships to United States, Europe, Asia, Canada, Australia, and Mexico.

  1. Very nice item - CIB no less huh? A little too steep to add to my collection when I don't even have a Nomad or Game Gear yet, but thanks for the peek at yet another piece of gaming history that I've never even heard of.

  4. I would love to get a SG-1000 they are just SO expensive when they do show up on eBay. That's as nice of one as I've ever seen available.

  5. Same here, I can't really justify dropping that kind of cash on it. However, I wasn't able to stop myself from bidding on this lovely Mega Jet. Mmm. Obscure goodness.

  6. @ Myke: That's a really tasty SG-1000 you discovered there... Think, I should actually post it on Retro Treasures. Oh, and good luck on the Mega Jet.

@ MadPlanet: Me too, but I think I'll be spending everything for completing that Infocom collection instead.

  7. Thanks, I'll need it, I don't plan on going much higher. Thank you for bringing it to our attention!

The SG-1000 is nice, but I can definitely hold out. I already have a Mark III that I don't spend enough time with, which plays SG-1000 games. Reminds me that I need to grab a few.

  8. How I wish the SMS was backwards compatible too. Oh well, just don't overspend yourself. These are tough times indeed.

  9. It went a little higher than I wanted to spend at the moment, but not by a whole lot. The hunt continues!
